Poland: Five teenage girls while celebrating a birthday, died after a fire broke out at an Escape Room in the northern Polish City of Koszalin.
The fire also left a 25-year-old man seriously injured on Friday early evening.
Fire spokesman Tomasz Kubiak told, the cause of the fire is still to be known, but safety checks are carrying out on every Escape Room in the country.
An “escape room” or an “escape game” offers a live physical adventure where players are required to solve a series of puzzles and riddles to complete the objectives at hand.
Escape rooms have gained popularity around the world and Poland alone has more than 1,000.
Polish President Andrzej Duda shared his condolences.
“Five joyful girls starting out in life have had life torn away from them,” he wrote on Twitter. “May God protect their parents and loved ones.”
